My husband and I were looking for a cheaper brand of charcoal. We happened to find this Ponderosa at the Dollar General Store. It is a great value. We wanted to grill that day and cooked with these briquets for the first time. It was a great experience. The food tasted great and the coals stayed lit and the barbecue was a great treat. It was fast starting and long burning. It was cheaper than the name brands. The bag was nice sized and this will last through several more cookouts. It is also another product that is made in the Usa. I am very pleased with this product. I will continue using it. In all honesty, I saw no difference at all in the comparisom of this charcoal and the higher priced brands. I do look for any differences and there were none. This comes in a dark brown bag with the letters Ponderosa written in orange and yellow print. You will see the picture of the coals on fire at the bottom of the bag. It is fantastic to find another good , reliable product that saves money.
