Ponstel Pain Reliever Review By Janna on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

As someone who suffers from an extremely painful menstrual cycle I am always on the look out for some thing that will help ease my discomfort. In the past I have tried many over the counter pills as well as prescription medicine such as Percocet. While Percocet certainly does the trick because it is classified as a narcotic is not something that I like to take every month for a week at a time.

After talking to my doctor she prescribed me Ponstel. It should be noted that Ponstel is not available without a prescription. Ponstel took care of my discomfort (I was in tears) with in ten minutes. My pain wasn't just lessened, my pain was completely gone. Two pills lasted me well over 12 hours. Because Ponstel is a NASID some people have some cardiovascular side effects. I myself suffered absolutely no side effects even though I do have tachycardia (abnormally fast heart rate) and will continue to use Ponstel each month.

If you suffer through painful menstration and Motrin and Advil just aren't cutting it then I advise you to speak with your doctor about Ponstel.
