About a year and a half ago my husband decided that we needed a dishwasher, that was really considerate of him considering he doesn't do dishes.

I had never owned or used a dishwasher before, I have always just washed and dried my dishes myself. Our house when we bought it two years ago, didn't have a dishwasher built in, and to have one built in I would lose some of my cabinet space, I didn't like that Idea.

Hubby went to HH Gregg and came home with the MayTag JetClean II Portable dishwasher. This dishwasher is great, it is a convertible style meaning in can be either used as a portable or it can be built in iflater down the road we get another house which will accommodate a built in model.

This dishwasher has caster on the bottom for easy mobility, it's white in color with a wooden top, to use it you just roll it to you kitchen sink, connect the water hose to your faucet, plug in the power and TA DA, your ready to wash your dishes, it's that easy. When the dishwasher is draining it will drain right into you kitchen sink drain.

This is a full size dishwasher, with 4 wash cycles, heavy, normal, light or just rinse, 2-4-6 hour delay wash,it has wash, clean, sanitize (eliminates 99% of household bacteria that may be on dishes) and dry indicator lights. The upper rack can be removed if you need more room for taller items, you don't even have to rinse the dishes before putting them in here, the jets are strong enough to get all the food off. This dishwasher is very quiet running the only thing I have ever noticed is when it drains into the sink you hearlike abig gush of water, but other than that you don't even hear it running.

I'm no expert when it comes to dishwashers but in my opinion this one is execellent and to be able to use it either portable or built in is wonderful.

How nice of hubby to purchase a dishwasher! That was quite thoughtful. I do not have a dishwasher either but I do not have the space for even a portable one... If we do ever move though, I am in for one!

These are some great features on a portable dishwasher! My aunt has a portable that is about ready to die! I'll have to share this model with her as I'm sure she'll be in the market for a new one soon!

We have a portable dishwasher too but I have never used it-I'm so used to handwashing! Your husband is so thoughtful to get this for you!

Sounds like a great product. I like the idea of it being portable.

Sounds like you have a great dishwasher. Maytag makes wonderful dependable products. It's nice, that you can use the dishwasher as a portable or use it as a built-in unit later. You have a great hubby!

Very nice that there is the option to install it later if you want to. I tried to get my mom to either buy one or let me buy one for her. Unfortunately her house has pipes that are too old to accomadate a dishwasher. But if she could have one, I would definitely look at getting a maytag.

This sounds like a great quality portable dishwasher, glad you didn't have to give up any cabinet space.

I really need one of these. We don't have a dishwasher either and some days I am just so tired of doing dishes by hand!

I'm like you, I had never used a dishwasher until I got a portable one last fall. It's wonderful! And I have the added peace of mind of knowing that the dishes are washed in such hot water that there's hardly any chance that germs or bacteria will survive on them.
