Power Wheels Barbie Jeep By MamaFox on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My daughter recently celebrated her 7th birthday. She has developmental delay and couldn't be convinced that she was too big for the one gift she insisted she NEEDED. Not wanting to spend the full retail price (usually around $250) I searched Craigs List for one in good shape for a month. I finally found one the week of her birthday. To say that it has exceeded our expectations is an understatement.

I was always 'that' parent who said my kids would never own a power wheels vehicle. The exercise they get from bikes etc is neccesary. My daughter has some physical disabilities as well as the developmental delay, making riding a bike a huge challenge. Anyway, now she can keep up on walks etc. Consider me 'converted'.

The Barbie Jeep is well built and very sturdy. The battery, even after a year of use, rarely dies before the kids interest. At my daughter's birthday party there were 10 kids in different weight and age ranges riding it for hours and the batttery held on to the bitter end.

I found a great deal on this toy...but I would deffinitely pay full price for it now that I've seen it in action.

Those ride in cars are always pricey-but the kids like them.
