PowerMax 5.8GHz Cordless Home Phone
By Brandy Norton onI own the Uniden Powermax 58GHz Digital Cordless Home Phone and love it.I picked this phone up at Wal-marts over a year ago after our old one got struck by lighting.
I got it on Clearance for $40 and it was regular over a $100.00.
It came with three phones, each with a base.
The main base has an
1. answer machine
2. a button to push if you have lost the phone
3. speaker button
4. volume
5. memo record
6. greetings
7. rewind
8. fast forward
9. delete for the answering machine
I find myself using the answering machine buttons and the phone finder, the most.
This phone has caller ID/ call waiting.
You can add more phones if needed.
Each phone has:
1. personalize ringers
2. alphabetical number storage
3. room monitor
4. caller ID/call waiting
5. speaker
6. hold button
7. intercom
8. pause (never used)
9. redial
10.access to answer machine
11.different languages (never used)
12.LCD contrast (? never used)
13.key touch tone
14.T-coil (? never used)
15.any key answers
16.regular ring tones
17.clock
18.date
For the answering set up I have
1.a security code if wanted
2.record time
3.message alert
4.call screen
5.answer in different languages
I do not know where my manual is, so I am winging this one. But, I have had the phone long enough to know why I like it.
I can listen to my kids if needed while in another room.My problem with that is, my oldest daughter knows just as much about the phone than I do and can listen to us also (witch is very sneaky, and just not right, on her part).
I can use the intercom and talk to someone else in another room.
I do not know how many numbers this phone will hold.If I had to guess I would say 100.
I assume the pause button is for when you are talking to one person on the phone and one,in person, and you don't want the person on the phone to know what you said to the person there.I have never used it.
Everyone has to love redial and speed dial.
The storage of numbers is very easy. When someone calls you, just press store, and edit if needed.
The range on these phones are 60 feet out of my house, give or take a little.
I really, really love these phones.

Wow! Sounds like this phone has every option you could ever need or use. Maybe you could find a manual online or order a copy from the manufacturer - and outsmart you daughter!
I also have a uniden phone - it's great!
