Prenatal Vitamins To Keep Us Both Healthy By Chenault on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My mother in law gave me a bottle of Spring Valley prenatal vitamins as soon as she heard we were expecting. She said "I hope you don't mind that these are missing a few, but my doctor had me taking them because I am anemic."

I know this is a Wal-Mart brand, and I wasn't sure if they were the best I could be taking, so I asked my doctor. He told me that the vitamins contained all of the essentials, just not as much calcium as he would like, but that is not a big deal because I am a milk drinker, so he thinks I am probably getting plenty of calcium from my milk intake.

I have to dmit, these vitamins are easy enough to swallow, they don't have a nasty taste and I am able to keep them down just fine.

I did check the price of the Spring Valley Prenatal Vitamins while shopping at Wal-Mart and they are about $4 for 90 pills in my area which is quite affordable, I also compared them to other brands offered, and it seems like they are about the same, but they do contain a touch less calcium than the other prenatals I looked at.
