Presto Electric Kettle By MelanieS on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I bought the Presto electric kettle for boiling water for tea, instant coffee, and cup soups. This kitchen appliance consists of a white kettle with a heating element at the bottom. You simply plug it into the wall and it brings the water to a boil. There is no temperature guage or on/off knobs. It is very easy to use.

My main reason for puchasing this electric kettle was to save energy from not using the stove to boil water. We do not have a microwave. The Presto kettle, which boils two cups of water in less than three minutes, saves energy and does not heat up the kitchen as the stove does. It is quick and convenient.

I have had the Presto electric kettle for more than one year and have no problems with it working. While there is no warrenty I am aware of, we don't need it as it provides boiling water every time we use it. Cleaning it out is a challenge, as the only hole is the spout where you put the water in. You cannot scrub the inside, but boiling water doesn't make much of a mess. I would recommend this kettle to anyone who wants a quick way to boil water conveniently.
