Presto Mypod By Jeanette Dusci on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

I have recently purchased the Presto Mypod refillable coffee holder. This is to use with a Senseo coffee maker. Normally with the Senseo you have to buy coffee pods to brew your cup of coffee. This refillable holder lets you use any type of ground coffee you like. I thought it sounded like a great thing to save money as the pods are pretty expensive. With this refillable holder you just add a tiny filter, a scoop of coffee to the holder, and put a compacting lid on that. Then brew. Sounds great right? Well, the first time I used it, my cup of coffee overflowed all over the counter.I went to the Presto website and read in the frequently asked questions that the water comes out for a longer amount of time because there is not the pod covering to slow the water pressure down. They suggest watching your cup and turning the machine off before it overflows. That seems ridiculous to me. I feel like they need to fix that issue to be a product that I would recommend.
