Prime Cut By Diane Mott Davidson By Karen on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Here is another great read in the Goldy Culinary Mystery series of books by Diane Mott Davidson. I have really gotten to like this series. I enjoy reading about Goldy's Catering business, and the mysteries have a wittiness to them, even when serious topics crop up.

In this novel, Goldy is out to help her chef friend and former teacher, Andre, with a big assignment of his. She has the time because her business is in chaos, thanks to the shenanigans of a local contractor. In Prime Cut, we have more than one dead body, stolen property, and personal problems for Goldy when her cop husband, Tom, gets suspended from his job. Goldy has a lot on her plate, but she is always up to the task.

There are some mouthwatering recipes in this novel, as there are in all Goldy Culinary Mysteries. When I find the time, I would like to try a few of them.

Goldy is a fun character, and I enjoy reading about her exploits. Each culinary mystery has kept me amused, which is a feature I greatly like about Diane Mott Davidson's books. Prime Cut is a fun novel, with much going on and keeping you on your toes throughout the book.
