Pro-Activ Solutions ... be careful
By Addison onAs far as the product is concerned, my wife loved it.She just felt better about herself while she used it and it appeared to clear up her skin.My wife's confidence grew, and I appreciated that.The main reason I am not giving Pro-Activ a very high review is because of their customer service.Pro-Activ automatically places you in a club (similar to BMG, or Columbia House for music) and puts you on an autoship program.Every two months they will send you more product whether you want them to or not.My wife did not need to use the full dosage of the product so a two month supply may last three months, yet they continued to send the product.After numerous phone calls and continued shipping, I was up to my ears in Pro-Active Solution.A simple slow down in delivery would have been fine... but that was not an option.Something that worked so well ended up giving us headache.For our family, the lack of customer service was too great to offset the benefits of using the product.If acne can be caused by stress from dealing with customer service...the effects may have been negligable.I do like the product, just know what you are getting into first.

Glad to hear that it worked for your wife. Sorry to hear about the customer service part of the experience. I was in one of those programs where they send you product every month....I wanted out because as you said...you can't always use that much product. Everyone is different and they just keep sending it unless you cancel. If you cancel they make you feel guilty ~ I hate that!
I agree that this line of products can work very well for some people. One thing that many people don't realize, since Pro-Active's representatives don't tell you, is that some of their masks and other preparations are sulfur based. Watch out if you have sulfa-like allergies. As far as customer service and the amount of product shipped...as a former customer, I know what you mean. I don't use the stuff anymore but have numerous bottles lying around in the back of the closet because it was auto-shipped and I couldn't use it fast enough. I did a few things to solve this problem. First, I visted the manufacturer's website and increased the time between shipments to the max allowed. This helped for a while. My next fix was to cancel my auto ship "membership". Of course they will ask why you want to cancel and if there is anything they can do to prevent you from canceling. Well as far as I'm concerned, if I tell them I'm getting too much product and they can't increase the time between shipments anyfurther, they don't need my money. Fortunately, this company is growing in popularity and there are many carts in the mall that sell the cleanser kits as well as make-up and other things. If you can find a cart in the mall, you can get what you want...when you want!
I also wished the delivery could be modified. I think they shoot themselves in the foot by not doing it... people stop the service to catch up and then just never call back. I found a cart at the mall that I could buy one or two of whatever I needed and that worked waaay better. Ultimately I stopped using it because it completely bleached my clothes, bedding, even my eyebrows!
