Proclaim Hot Thermal Styler Spray By Dana on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I use my flat iron a few times a week on my hair, so when my hair began feeling dry and brittle last year, I wondered if my hair was being damaged by the heat from the iron.

I bought a bottle of Proclaim Hot Thermal Styler Spray from Sally Beauty Supply because my hair stylist told me that I needed to start putting something on my hair prior to using the flat iron. The first thing that I noticed when I used the Proclaim product was that when I was spraying it on my hair, it didn't come out of the bottle very easily. It sprayed out, but it wasn't a fine mist, it just sprayed heavily in one spot on my hair.

Another problem that I had with this product was the smell. It has a strong smell of alcohol, and since I am prone to headaches, I have to be very careful how much I use or I could develop a migraine. On the plus side, I did notice that my hair seemed softer after I used the Proclaim and then used the flat iron on it. However, my hair smelled like alcohol for hours.

I would not buy Proclaim Hot Thermal Styler Spray again. I think that I will try a different product that sprays and smells better the next time around.
