Proctor Silex 12 Cup Coffee Maker By Rodney Ray By Rodney Ray on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
This was an early morning woke up and the coffee pot was dead type purchase. I bought the Proctor Silex 12 Cup Coffee Maker,as always simply because it was the least expensive one available there at the time. I got it home and un-packed it and right off began to notice it was bad news from the start. The cord on this thing is only about 12 inches long, the whole top flips open to put in the water ands the coffee filter unit all in one big " Hole " with your filter in front blocking where you need to poor the water. OK now let me rip on the carafe the indention that is supposed to be the spout is more of a rough dent in the front causing coffee or water to pour down the front of itself when used. I personally disliked this product and would not recommend it to anyone it's poorly designed in my opinion, it's messy and really hard to keep clean.

Well said King! I hate this coffeemaker! We bought one under "emergency" conditions and had it leak hot coffee all over my arms. The burner plate went out within the month. Proctor Silex needs to go back to the drawing board with this one.
I have also purchased this coffeemaker and was very disappointed in it. Would never buy another.
so glad I got a hamilton beach one for a gift a few years ago. I wouldn't stand for a product like this and would have sent an angry letter to the company, then taken it back to the store for a refund.
