This is the Proctor-Silex electric can opener. This was purchased at Dollar General. The price was $9.00. The outside plastic covering is easy to wipe clean. The cutting blade mechanism leaves alittle to be desired. It opens the cans okay but at times the cutting arm falls off and needs to be refitted into the can opener hole. This has happened alot with my use. Sometimes larger cans are harder to open with this basic opener. This is definately a no-frills can opener. But if you need one to get by with as I did, then I would say for such little money, give it a try. It does have nice weight to it and stands firmly on the counter. It only has the standard warranty of one year limited. Buying at Dollar General allows you to get it at a much better price.
