Proctor Silex Electric Kettle for fast hot water
By Pogo onThe Proctor Silex Electric Kettle is a great little appliance. It measures approximately 9-1/6 by 5 by 7-1/3 inches. It is white in color with a blue swish on the side that allows you to see the water level.
It is simple to use: just add water, close the lid, plug it on and flip the switch. When it has reached its boiling point, it automatically turns itself off. You can then take leave it plugged in or unplug it to take it to another area.
You can heat between 1.5 cups up to a quart of water at a time. It only takes a couple of minutes to reach boiling so it is impotant to keep the kettle away from children when heating. Also, make sure the lid is down tight or hot water could spill out of the lid sides.
I keep a Proctor Silex Electric Kettle in our guest room along with a basket of teas, cocoas and biscuits. This allows guest to help themselves either before bed or in the morning.
Amazon often has this kettle on their buy 3 pay for 4 promotion, making it an even better deal.

Cordless? The pic shows a cord. Does it keep the water hot after it's first heated somehow? Looks handy though.
I know that is a bit confusing! You plug it in to heat it and then you have the option of unpluging it (thus the cordless) and taking it over to whereever your cup is. The water stay warm for 2 cups, I usually plug it in if I go for three LOL
What a great idea for a guest room. Sounds like you make a little bed and breakfast type setting for them. Lucky guests! I was thinking the same thing about the plug ~ thought maybe you had to charge it like a cell phone before it would heat up.
I don't have this one, but I do have an electric kettle. I absolutley love mine too! They heat water soooooo fast!
I have this same kettle. ;-) I bought it two years ago.
