Project X is my absolute favorite movie of all time. I have lost count how many times I have watched it. This movie was made back in 1987, but it is still a great movie.

It stars Matthew Broderick and Helen Hunt. It is rated PG and is 108 minutes long.

I don't want to give the movie away, but it is basically about an Air Force project where chimpanzees are taught how to operate flight simulators. What people discover though is the chimps are actually being used in an experiment. One of the chimps, Virgil, was taught sign language by Helen Hunt's character.

What the movie comes down to is Matthew Broderick's and Helen Hunt's character fight to rescue the chimpanzees.

It is a heart warming story. I cheered. laughed and cried during this movie. This is a feel good movie. I really enjoyed the antics of the chimps and the connection between the humans and chimps. You develop a sense of love and respect for the chimps. This movie shows how cruel mankind can be to other animals but it also shows how kind and loving humans can be to other animals. As an animal lover myself, it is hard to watch some parts but it is worth watching. I could not help but to yell "run, Virgil" when the humans were helping them escape.

My only gripe about the DVD is it would have be nice if it had some special features on the DVD.

It's a great movie. I would suggest picking it up at the store or renting it.
