When my husband and I were first married, we needed a small safe for all of our important documents.While out shopping , we found this Honeywell safe which was just perfect for our needs back then. Today we have a much larger one as it holds more documents for all six members of our family.

We were happy to find that the safe is both fire and waterproof for 8 1/2" by 11" paper documents. The waterproof seal helps keep out moisture from water fire hoses, floods, or water sprinklers. This provided us with a great sens of security for our papers.

The safe has a push latch and lock system plus a built in handle. There are 330 cubic inches of storage capacity which was good many years for use but is too small for a family of six today. Another feature that we thought was great is that the safe comes with a five year guarantee.

I found the box to be very heavy and it has held up very well over the years. We have not had to test it's durabilitywhen facing fire or water proofness and hopefully wwe never will have to do so. All of our important papers such as birth certificates, wills, social security cards, insurance papers, jewels, and more were kept in it. I highly recommend this safe tp those who have important papers to protect. It is good for single persons, older children, etc.
