Protect Your Eyeglasses For $1.00 By Alice on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
After having my cataract surgery I needed some reading glasses for the itty bitty writing on pill bottles and the backs of boxes. I found the reading glasses at Wallgreens but now I wanted a protective case to keep them in so I could throw them in my purse and have them with me at all times.
I sure didn't want to spend a lot of money so my daughter suggested looking at the Dollar Tree not far from our home.
I was very surprised and happy to find these designer cases plus they also had lots of reading glasses! I chose two hard designer cases, one in brown and one in black. They feel like they are covered with a leather type material. The inside has a glued in plastic mold covered with a soft velour type material. I find these to be very similar to the cases I have purchased from my optomitrist.
Imagine my joy to get these for only $1.00, what a great bargain!! They hold my glasses perfectly without my worrying they will cave in and harm my glases inside. The outside dimensions are 6-1/2" wide by 2-1/2" across and 1-1/4" deep at its widest point. There's a little indentation to place your thumb and pull the case open. The spring mechanism snaps my case shut and keeps it shut, I don't worry about it opening on its own.
If you need a case for you glasses, don't pay a lot of money for something you can get for only $1.00!!
