Reviewing: Protron Portable Dvd Player Model # Pdv 228
Purchased at: ?     Price: $129.99 USD

I purchased this portable DVD Player for my sons before our trip to Disney. It is a 16 hr. drive from our house and I knew they would need all the entertainment I could provide. We have used this DVD player on several long trips since then and it has definetly helped save my sanity.

This DVD player is all silver and measures about 9 in. X 7 in. It has a 7 in. X 4 in. screen. It came with a carrying case that can be hooked to the headrest on a car seat for easy viewing. There is also a headphone jack so everyone doesn't have to listen to the movie.

This is a very basic DVD player without a lot of bells and whistles. It has buttons for play, stop, fastforward, rewind and pause. It has a power light and volume dial.

In addition to the case it came witha rechargeable battery that will last through 2 movies. It has a car charger and a DC plug. It also came with cables to connect it to a television and a remote control.

I would recommend this DVD player to anyone with children planning a long car trip. It will make everyone a lot happier.

It sounds like the battery life of your portable DVD player is pretty good at least as compared to playing a DVD on a laptop, which certainly would not last 2 full movies, in most cases.

This definitely would be nice for long trips-especially to Disney!

It's great that the battery can last that long, or it would be no good for a long trip.

What a great way to keep the kids occupied during a long trip.

Sounds basic and practical. This would also be the answer to those air trips with fewer amenities these days.

I loke this feature : a carrying case that can be hooked to the headrest on a car seat for easy viewing..very good for travelling , be it on the bus or on a plane.

I need this one soon. Harmony is a back seat driver and Destiny loves to sing. LOL

Seems pretty inexpensive although that screen seems a bit tiny
