I am currently using Prozac for my anxiety disorder. I have always been an uptight, anxious individual who is prone to get angry easy, so I decided to try a treatment for depression. I had tried lexapro before, and although it worked wonderfully at first, the effects wore off after a time. So my doctor prescribed Prozac for me. The side effects were not too bad when I first began taking it, it made me a bit more sleepy than normal, gave me dry mouth and made me a bit disoriented. I would definitely recommend not driving or participating in anything too strenuous until you know what the effects of this drug will be on you. But after a couple of weeks, the effects disappeared and the drug really started working. Because of Prozac, I am now happier and more serene than I have ever been before. I do not anger as easily, and I am able to slow down and enjoy my life to the fullest. I would recommend talking to your doctor if you have depression or anxiety, as Prozac may be the answer for you, too.
