Pucker Up Purely! By RachelReviews on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

So far I really like this brand. I was able to try these products since I won them in a giveaway, and I'm really glad that I was lucky enough to do so. One thing I really appreciate is the packaging. Some people care most about what is inside and while I do think that is super important, I also think what you use needs to look beautiful.

Oftentimes, women use cosmetics everyday and I think it makes a difference when what they pick up looks artistic. Or, if someone uses makeup occasionally it can feel even more special when their cosmetic packaging is gorgeous to look at.

The lipstick tube is unique looking. In fact, I haven't seen one just like this before. It looks like it is made of some sort of metal with all these rings around it, kind of like tree trunk rings.

I've tried the lipstick out and while I don't like the color, I can tell it's a good product. I don't like the color because on me it looks like a bright, orange-toned pink. First off, I don't "do" bright. I like subdued neutrals, but of course, the company didn't know that. Coupled with my personal preference and my fair skin, the shade was really LOUD.

Some good points about it: It was very moisturizing and applied precisely. There was no smearing or feathering at all. I noticed that it lasted a long time. I wore it on the day that I went for a massage and it lasted through that. I was face down on the U-pillow; I also went into a sauna.

More information on some of the ratings: I rated the "selection" a 1 because when I checked their website, they only sell the lipstick in 2 shades. One shade they sell it in is the one I have which didn't really suit me. So basically, there is only one other alternative. The other color is called Native. From the swatch on the website, that looks more brown and nude. It's pretty. I rated Fragrance/Oil Free a 3. I was rating that on the Fragrance only. The lipstick has a scent. It's kind of similar to MAC's, a sweet cupcake-y smell.
