Purple Sunnies By RachelReviews on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I bought these purple, oversized Karian sunglasses when I was on a trip in Italy. That trip was at least 3 years ago, and these babies are still in good shape, save the minute scratches on the lenses. Those are from carelessly throwing the sunglasses in my bag. I haven't found a sunglass case that fits them, yet.
The arm says these "sunnies" are made in Italy, and the model number is 2090. They are made out of hard, violet plastic.
The lenses protect against UV rays. When I go outside, I am rarely without these. My eyes can be very sensitive to sunlight and the dark lenses block out the sunlight well.
I like the oversized shape. I tend to believe: the more protected the skin around the eye is, the less wrinkles will form. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but when it comes to sunglasses, I usually pick larger frames for that reason. Oh, and I want to look like a movie star.
I like that I bought these shades while on a trip. Besides being sunglasses, they are memory-evoking tools. Every time I wear them, I remember experiences I had while in a completely new country.

The glasses in the image are cool. It is true that sunglasses protects our eyes a lot from the scratches that may be caused by the dusts in the atmosphere. Moreover, we can save our eyes from the extreme rays of the sun.
Off topic, but where did you go in Italy? I LOVE Florence, I would go back there in a heartbeat. Sunglasses are a must have over there.
