Puzzle Quest combines the addictive gameplay of Bejeweled and similar titles, adding in an RPG lite system consisting of skills and statistics allowing you to manipulate the game board to defeat increasingly difficult opponents.

Core gameplay is great, pretty much lifted straight from Bejeweled. The skills system is a bit imbalanced; early on, I found the opponents very difficult, but as the game progressed and my character gained more equipment, my increases in power greatly outweighed those of the enemies. By about the midpoint of the game, I was able to dispatch opponents effortlessly.

Puzzle fans, or anyone looking for something a little different from the norm should definitely pick this up. It's a great challenge, and even when the game's difficulty drops off, it still remains fun to play due to it's solid puzzle basis.
