Pyrex 8 inch Square Glass Baking Dish

Pyrex makes some really excellent pieces and this is one of my favorites.This 8 inch square, 2 inch deep glass baking dish is great for brownies, coffee cake, small portions of meat/poultry, and small casseroles.It has a total capacity of about two quarts.

What's so great about glass?Unlike some metals and plastics,non porous glass cookware won't absorb odors, and this pyrex model is safe in the refrigerator and freezer.It is also dishwasher safe for added convenience.I have found that it is also exceptionally easy to clean, and even baked on pasta sauce comes off with a short soak in hot water.(If you really want to make it easy, just spray the sides and bottom with non-stick cooking spray like Pam)

This is my favorite baking dish for several reasons.First, the thick handles are easy to get a grip on, secondly, it retains heat well to keep food warm, and lastly because of the even cooking it provides.It's the perfect size for small meals too, so it's especially useful for singles and couples.Larger families might want to consider pyrex's 9X13 glass baking dish.
