Pyrex Should Be In Every Kitchen By AmyBrantley on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Glass bakeware does a better job at baking items evenly than anything else I've ever tried. Of course, when it comes to glass bakeware most people think of Pyrex. Pyrex has been around for several decades and there's a reason for that.

I love my Pyrex Bakeware for several different reasons. First of all, it's easy to clean. Pyrex can be used in the microwave, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and even in the freezer. Some Pyrex pieces even come with plastic lids eliminating the need for plastic wrap.

The only thing I don't like about Pyrex is it can be dangerous. If a hot pan is touched with something cool, it will explode. And, when Pyrex explodes it goes everywhere it tiny shards.

Other than that, Pyrex is wonderful. Just be sure to be careful about what you use to get it out of the oven or microwave and how soon you put the pan in the refrigerator.
