After suffering from Strep throat several times, and then developing Rheumatic Fever my Ear, Nose and Throat doctor decided I needed my tonsils out. He told me that as an adult it would be very painful for about two weeks afterwards, but would be a great benefit to my health. When I woke up from the surgery and was later sent home I was indeed in a lot of pain. I was hesistant to take this medicine but I decided I needed something that would take my pain away. I drank the recommended dosage and although it made me very tired it did indeed take my pain away. It said I could take it every 6 hours, but it only seemed to last every 4 hours, so I did take ibuprofen in between. But for the 4 hours that it did help it sure was a blessing. It was easy to stop and was not adictive at all.
