I was a bit leary about buying glasses online as opposed to going to Lens Crafters. At first I had gone and obtained a pair at Lens Crafters and they were just a regular pair of non-transition glasses that cost me 181.00. I then went to 39dollarglasses.com and bought the transition glasses and quickly realized that the quality and fit were terrific and all for 88.90. I then returned my Lens Crafter ones for a full refund and I quickly realized I could get two pairs of glasses and change by dealing with 39dollarglasses.com. I have to admit I am still surprised at the quality. Especially since I purchased them without seeing them first. I really thought they would be acceptable but not this good. I can really see why some folks would balk at purchasing them in this fashion and be kind of doubtful. However the frames are extremely sturdy with an extra bar at the nose of the aviator style. The lenses transition quickly from light to dark. The ear pieces are comfortable and fit snugly, as I like them too. I am very fussy about quality more than price too. I will purchase these in the future, when it is time for a replacement. i would also like to mention that to really put quality to the test a short while later I purchased another pair of glasses from them known as the Boston style. These particular ones are sun glasses and they are on the dark side. Once again though, the frames are very strong and a nice fit. No problems. i would certainly recommend this company to anyone who wants to save money and get a halfway decent product as well.

Wow, thanks for the info. I have never heard of this place before, sounds like it's way cheaper than the traditionals stores. I will have to check them out the next time I need new glasses.

I think I will give this place a go. I am hearing a lot of good things about it.
I use to be an affiliate for this company and always wondered about their glasses. I think it's funny that you paid double what the website name states but I know you must have had upgrades to your glasses. I need to get some too and the only pair I HAD (puppy ate them) cost me $550 because they were tri-focals. When I get my eyes checked I will go to their site and see about ordering some. What really amazed me about all this was the quality on my glasses was as good or better than anything I have ever had in eye glasses.
