Queen Helene Grape Seed Extract Masque
By freezerpop onI bought this masque thinking that it would dry my skin out less than the Mint Julep mask that I've used in the past. I usually like Queen Helene products, and they are not irritating to my skin, so I thought that this would be worth a try.
First of all, this smells delicious. It smells just like grape soda! Though, when you actually apply it to your face, it will have a bit of an alcohol smell as well.
Once I got the chance to try it out, I noticed that it was pretty thick and difficult to squeeze out of the bottle. However, once I did get a sufficient amount out, it spread on my face smoothly without being too sticky on my fingers. The drying time was not as long as I expected, and I'm glad because I didn't particularly like sitting around looking like a plastic mannequin while I waited.
This masque gave my face a refreshing tingle, though if you don't like using products containing alcohol, you might not want to use this.
After it dried well, it peeled of quite easily. I could tell by looking at it that it pulled a lot of gunk out of my pores, and quite a few of those tiny blonde facial hairs as well. My skin felt tighter but not dry at all.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with a low-budget looking for a decent way to clean their pores. It cleaned mine just as well as those peel-off biore strips, but at a much better price!
