Queen Helene Grape Seed Extract Masque By freezerpop on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I bought this masque thinking that it would dry my skin out less than the Mint Julep mask that I've used in the past. I usually like Queen Helene products, and they are not irritating to my skin, so I thought that this would be worth a try.

First of all, this smells delicious. It smells just like grape soda! Though, when you actually apply it to your face, it will have a bit of an alcohol smell as well.

Once I got the chance to try it out, I noticed that it was pretty thick and difficult to squeeze out of the bottle. However, once I did get a sufficient amount out, it spread on my face smoothly without being too sticky on my fingers. The drying time was not as long as I expected, and I'm glad because I didn't particularly like sitting around looking like a plastic mannequin while I waited.

This masque gave my face a refreshing tingle, though if you don't like using products containing alcohol, you might not want to use this.

After it dried well, it peeled of quite easily. I could tell by looking at it that it pulled a lot of gunk out of my pores, and quite a few of those tiny blonde facial hairs as well. My skin felt tighter but not dry at all.

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with a low-budget looking for a decent way to clean their pores. It cleaned mine just as well as those peel-off biore strips, but at a much better price!
