Queen Helene's Oatmeal and honey scrub!
By song_of_serenity onWhen I hit 24 years this year, for the oddest reason, I took more care of my skin. I never had issues with acne, I always had clear skin...so why worry now? AGE, that's why! I went to "Bargin Hunter's" store to find a...well, bargain. I went to the health care isle and saw a shelf full of "Queen Helene" products. See, my skin had grown a bit dry and I wanted to get a facial. I can't afford that. I was terrified of doing something "extreme" at home by myself (visions of searing skin and peeling from too much heat/acid came to mind) and decided to try a scrub. Just my luck. Oatmeal and Honey was in Queen Helene's selection. I heard of Oatmeal's capabilities, as well as the gentleness of honey. The price was only 2.99. Hm. I was sold.
I took it home, and like I always am, grew excited and just HAD to try it! I did as they said, moistened with warm water and squeezed a small amount on my finger tips.Hmm...Grainy! It felt nice to the touch, and oh, felt pretty good on my face! I scrubbed with it, perhaps a bit too hard because my skin was a bit red afterwards...in a nutshell,it did what it was supposed to, it's a pretty good scrub. However, my skin was left feeling dry. I know it's not a moisturizer, but that's my only complaint. Cheap, a nice scrub, has honey, didn't break me out...If I hadn't found a more natural alternative, I would rebuy!
