RAAAAID!!!!! Nope, Never Mind
By Brandy Norton on - Updated Oct 15, 2011I got this yellow jacket trap a few years ago.It is put out by raid.
I do not have many yellow jackets, but I was hoping it would get a few wasp, being that the wasp and the yellow jackets are related.
Well, after two years of hanging on my front porch, it has not caught one thing.I am sure the poison is old, by now, but I just keep letting it hang. Its not hurting anything.
When I look at it, it reminds me of camping and lanterns.
I did have a trap, a long time ago that worked. It was a yellow plastic looking, bee hive thing.
You put something sweet in it, like honey, brake off a piece of lunch meat and stick it in there.
I caught a lot of wasp then.I am thinking about getting a piece of meat, and dabbing it in some honey and sticking it in the poison.Couldn't hurt, huh?
Anyway, I would not recommend this product.Save your money for something that actually works.
I gave this product a .1 because it could have gotten a little nat, and I didn't see it.
I gave the 5 for environmental harm, because I have not even seen it kill a fly.
Update On Jul 31, 2008: I tried the ham and honey in this and it works. Also, when I was trying to stick the ham in at the top, I seens some bugs in it, that I had not seen before. The posion was to dark to see.So, it works better than I thought it did, but I can't change my ratings.
