Raaaaid!!!!! Nope, Never Mind By Brandy Norton on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I got this yellow jacket trap a few years ago. It is put out by raid.
I do not have many yellow jackets, but I was hoping it would get a few wasp, being that the wasp and the yellow jackets are related.
Well, after two years of hanging on my front porch, it has not caught one thing. I am sure the poison is old, by now, but I just keep letting it hang. Its not hurting anything.
When I look at it, it reminds me of camping and lanterns.
I did have a trap, a long time ago that worked. It was a yellow plastic looking, bee hive thing.
You put something sweet in it, like honey, brake off a piece of lunch meat and stick it in there.
I caught a lot of wasp then. I am thinking about getting a piece of meat, and dabbing it in some honey and sticking it in the poison. Couldn't hurt, huh?
Anyway, I would not recommend this product. Save your money for something that actually works.
I gave this product a .1 because it could have gotten a little nat, and I didn't see it.
I gave the 5 for environmental harm, because I have not even seen it kill a fly.
I tried the ham and honey in this and it works. Also, when I was trying to stick the ham in at the top, I seens some bugs in it, that I had not seen before. The posion was to dark to see. So, it works better than I thought it did, but I can't change my ratings.
