Rabbit Proof Fence

I know we are asked to give at least 750 characters on each review, but only ONE comes to mind when I think of this movie, that word is WOW!!

This movie was sent as a gift through Amazon.com, actually we received 9 movies in all as gifts, which is awesome, we are all movie lovers. I am particularly fond of movies that are based on true facts, as this one was. Our dear friend and adoptive daughter Alana sent us movies that were based on Australian's.

Used to, Aboriginal children were forced into slavery for the rich people, mostly white , rich people. It is hard to imagine that this exist in such recent times, but it does sadly.

It follows a girl who takes her younger sister and young cousin away from what would force them into slavery as they travel more than 1500 miles along what is referred to the rabbit proof fence in Australia, to take them home.

You will laugh, you will cry, your heart will be touched, all I can say is wow! Knowing that these girls went through this and survived and that so many did not. It is a truly touching movie.
