We originally bought these radios to keep in contact with the kids when they are out riding their bikes. The package and salesman said that they would work for up to 30 blocks away. My husband and I thought that they sounded perfect. So we bought them. Once they were good and charged we decided to give them a try, anxious to see how they worked. Lets just say that if I stood by and freight train roaring by while I was talking on these things we probably would have understood each other better! The reception is HORRIBLE no matter if we are 1/2 block away or 3 blocks away. Little own the 30 blocks away that they said that they work. What a joke! When we tried to return them we had such a hastle that we ended up keeping them and letting the kids just play around with them. I think that we would have been more satisfied with some dollar store walkie talkies!

This is too bad - we purchased a set from this store awhile ago and they worked quite well - wonder if it's just a dud set. They are great little things when they work like they should...thanks for the info
