This book is a gift from my cousin who work in the largest media group in my country. As stated in the title, this book have a unique approach toward success with local view : the story of success from the best top executives in our country, Indonesia.

Beside great success story which well-known around the world like Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Laksmi Mittal and many other great success people; we also need to take the local wisdoms (more specifically, global wisdom from local people near us), because the local success stories tell us more closely with our daily life.

Eight Indonesian's CEO interviewed by Harmanto Edy Jatmiko (author of the book). Eight leadership styles from eight top leaders well described by the author. One figure who have emotional closeness with me (have the same background) is Dahlan Iskan, CEO of Jawa Pos Group who lead the local newspaper (even after its bankcrupty) to grow and develop to be serious competitor for the biggest media in Indonesia (which publish this book). Dahlan's parents is illiterate (in its real meaning), but he able to be CEO of one of the biggest media in Indonesia and now have developed from one local unknown newspaper to be more than 100 medias, include newspapers, magazines, cyber media, TV, printing company and many other business.
