This is the second pair of transition lens glasses I have owned. I went one year in between with having regular eyeglasses with no transitions and I truly missed the shade. I'm a college student, so they come in very handy if you're outside a lot. The glasses get darker in no time...within 1 minute for sure, if that. The shade is very comfortable and does not get too dark that it prevents you from seeing properly. I love the idea of transition lenses because if, perhaps, you are driving and have only regular lenses, using sunglasses will shade your eyes but of course you will not be able to see as clearly. So with the transitions, it's like having two in one. They also don't take long to clear up once you're indoors. My old pair, which is at least 4 years old, STILL gets dark in the sunlight. I would recommend these for anyone who likes to wear stylish eye glasses (RL has very fashionable styles) without having to change back and forth from glasses to sunglasses.

I've always wondered if these worked as well as they advertised them too...glad to know they do. I need to try a pair one of these days. Most of the time I just wear my contacts, but there are days when I like to leave my contacts out, but hate it that I can't wear my sunglasses then.
I currently only have to wear glasses for reading but if there comes a time where I have to wear them all the time, I want to have transitions too.
My next pair of glasses will be transitions!
