Rambo Iii Ultimate Edition By Feezle on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Alas, the pitfalls of success. This is what I like to refer to as Stallone's ego era. Too many one liners, too many explosions, and not enough substance destroys this third installment in the popular Rambo franchise. Bigger is not always better. You have to hand it to Stallone. He got huge for this movie. The opening sequence with the stick fighting was actually quite intriguing, although it was just an excuse for Rambo to flex his muscles. The story is simple (actually a bit too simple). Trautman (Richard Crenna) is captured in Afghanistan on a mission that Rambo refused to go on. Rambo feels guilty. Rambo decides to make mince meat of a Russian base. A rocket launcher here, an explosive arrow there, and you have yourself a Rambo movie. Sorry...it was boring this time around.

Again, the special features are a lackluster waste of time. If you love this movie, you might find something that interests you in them. If you don't....you won't.
