I mentioned in another review the "other" name brand hair spray that I use, but Rave by Suave has always been my old standby. When I know I need a solid hold on my style, I reach for my Rave 4X Mega Hairspray. I feel a little better that it is a pump spray versus an aerosol. It is sold at a very reasonable price, around $2 per bottle, and a bottle will last me a very long time, usually around a month or month and a half. It says it's unscented, but there is a light scent to it. I do know if I don't shake the bottle before I spray that there ends up being an unpleasant alcohol smell. I never notice any residue left after washing my hair, it seems to wash out clean. The downfall of this bottle is the nozzle. It becomes clogged regularly, or at least partially clogged which ends out spraying in a funny pattern that soaks part of your hair. Usually just holding the nozzle under hot water for a minute will take care of the problem. Until something changes, Rave will continue to be a staple in my bathroom when I need a strong hairspray.
