We all love smooth looking and brighter skin. After all, we want to look our best, whether we work outside the home or not. And tired looking dull skin makes us feel washed out and drained. Now, we can spend thousands of dollars at the plastic surgeons office getting our skins professionally polished, or we can empower ourselves by seeking out effective products we can use at home.

There are lots of home dermabrasion products out there on the shelves, ranging in price from around $2.50 for a simple buffing sponge to the hundreds for kits. But.. if using pure, healthy, natural ingredients on your skin is important for you, then the choices narrow down considerably.

I love Fantasy Bath's Turbinado Sugar Scrub. Not only does it contain all natural ingredients, it works! The raw sugar crystals are just rough enough to really get deep into the skin, yet they don't irritate the skin at all. Sugar in all its forms contains acids that exert a mild peeling effect, so you get dual benefits from using it.

You simply dampen your face, and apply a good amount of the scrub to your skin working it around your face evenly. Then using a buffing sponge or washcloth you begin rubbing it in briskly, using circular motions. Then rinse and pat dry. You will feel smoother, cleaner skin immediately and see the results with continued use. I did not experience any reddening, burning or irritation using this sugar scrub. This has been a real problem for me with other dermabrasion products.

What I do see and feel is softer, smoother brighter skin. Plus I feel much more comfortable using a totally natural product like this. It has a light sweet scent and soft texture in the hand. As with the Shea Butter, don't let its lightweight feel fool you. This is a little powerhouse of a scrub that offers you excellent results for a very low price. If you want a slightly heavier scrub with more moisturizing, Clover offers this in her Dead Sea Salt Scrub which is unscented.

If you have very sensitive skin or simply want to use healthier products, you owe it to yourself to visit Fantasy Bath and give her products a try. They are lovely, inexpensive and effective. What more could you ask for?

This sounds wonderful! I have used brown sugar scrubs in the past and liked them, I am going to have to try this product!

Is this just for the face? The scrub I used was for "dry areas" - elbows, knees, anything. It helped, but it left a slightly oily feel.

Great question! It says for the face, and it rinses off leaving a faint moisturized feeling to your face. I guess you could use it on elbows. I like the Body Bar for dry callused cracked feet. Especially if you soak em in very warm water awhile then apply it before putting on socks. It works great!

I don't begin to understand the point to this, but I'm glad you like it. So... I could just wash my face with turbinado sugar and take of the skin and that would be good? Hmmm

This sounds great. I make my own facial exfoliation products -- guess you could call it dermabrasion -- with cane sugar, ground almonds, glycerin, and fruit -- sometimes mixed berry, sometimes cucumber and melon; whatever is in season. The sugar I use is organic, and it's a great exfoliator; the almond adds a little grit but also soothing oil. And it's a lot cheaper than most of the 'fine products' from upscale department stores! And I hope you're feeling MUCH better soon!
