RCA Portable Television
By k0b3x onI bought this portable RCA television as a backup TV that could be taken with me on vacations but also be watched as a small TV in my own room. The TV features a twelve inch screen and also has a built in VCR player. The TV is mainly a silver color and it has a slot so it makes it easier to carry the TV. It also has a place where you can tie the power cord in the back, making it even more portable. The TV has very good picture quality for its size, and also has strong sound. It is extremely easy to use (just plug and watch). The downsides of this TV include the weight. For something that small, the TV is very heavy and also it is not the most durable (there is a crack on the top of the TV). The remote controller is also a weakness because the buttons are small and it is not the most appealing. Besides these issues, the TV is a solid portable television that can be taken anywhere relatively easy.
I don't like remotes that have small buttons either, way to hard to control.
This sounds quite practical for the price and I like that it plays tapes too. But I wonder what will be the fate of all these small units after the transition to digital next year. Thanks for the info!

Too bad for the durability part. I want a TV that could last me for years since I'm such a TV addict.

I like this style of tv with the vcr built in. It's getting harder and harder to find a vcr, so this might be the only way someday we can still watch all those tapes we recorded!

I think my husband used to have a tv like this. It was small but so heavy! That really surprised me. It is a good idea to have a small tv to take places if needed though. Thanks for the information.
