Read All About It In The Ajc By dsnygrl on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Here in the metro Atlanta area we have only one choice for our major daily newspaper and that is the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (the AJC). In addition to the printed daily newspaper, the AJC also has an extensive online site that covers everything from headlines to classifieds. Together the printed paper and the online site reach over 2.3 million people each week. The AJC holds the 16th place spot on the list of top 100 US daily papers by circulation.

Through out my years here in the Atlanta area I have subscribed to the paper many times both daily and on weekends. I found that too many times the papers were being piled up in the corner or taken to the recycle bin before they even made it out of their protective plastic sleeve. Now we only get the paper when we know we are going to have time to actually read it.

The edition we do get every week is the Sunday First Edition. It is available around town on Saturday afternoons and features all the same great sections and stories as the regular Sunday edition minus the up to the minute top stories and sports scores. The Sunday First Edition is $2.00 just like the regular Sunday edition.

In my house we enjoy sleeping in on Sunday mornings so we go through the paper on Saturday night and plan our Sunday around what stores if any we need to visit to hit the best deals. This really comes in handy around the holidays when you are looking for those hard to get items. We have no problem not getting the top stories and scores since we can catch it all online at http://www.ajc.com/.

Good to hear about a good newspaper. I am happy with the one we have here in the Minneapolis - St. Paul area, but I remember the one we had in Las Vegas was terrible.

I love the Sunday papers for the sales papers and coupons lol. Its sad, I know. I'm sure this paper is pretty nice. I had never seen a paper as big as Knoxville's. We get it on Sundays. I bet Atlanta's is even bigger!

there is nothing sad about coupons, I get excited just thinking about them.

It's a good paper, but I'm just not at fan of the oversized newspapers with sections that pull out. I just end up making a mess

Believe it or not, my brother subscribes to this paper & he lives in Indianapolis! He had traveled there before & got hooked on the paper for some reason!! I'm joining the ranks of getting a Sunday paper to peruse the sales & of course clip coupons!

This sounds like a great newspaper compared to our OKC paper. You sound like we do, we plan our sundays around the ads. Thanks for sharing!
