Read Books...Bob Books!! By angelkisses on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My 5 year old son is just starting to read. I wanted to find a book that he can read out loud and feel confident since he is in the early stage of reading. I asked his teacher what books she recommended and she said BOB BOOKS. These books come in a box with twelve little books they are Fun in the Sun, Up, Pup, Pip and Pog, Bow-wowl, The Big Hat, Sox the Fox, Ok Kids, Rub a Dub, Go Bus, The Red Hen, The Sad Cat and Zero to Ten. There are Five Sets. They are Set One Beginners, Set Two Advancing Beginners, Set Three Word Families, Set Four Compound Words and Set Five Long Vowels; we own Sets One and Two. On each page are basic words that form a sentence like Mat Sat and the picture to matches the action. My son loves reading the books, although he knows Set One's books by heart he still feel good when he finishes a book on his own. The books are not very colorful so they don't distract the child while reading the illustrations are very simple. Bob Books Build confidence and give them a sense of accomplishment when they are reading.

I'll definitely keep it in mind if a kid's b-day is coming up
