Reader's Digest By Ezriela on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
"Reader's Digest" is a magazine I am rather sentimental about, because I recall reading it as a child, many years ago. While it deals with contemporary issues, it still retains the same upbeat, positive slant it always had and that is why I continue to be drawn to this magazine. Each issue contains book excerpts, articles about health, finance and religion and human interest stories. Readers regularly contribute favorite quotations, humorous stories, and anecdotes. What really sets "Reader's Digest" apart, to me, is that it brings inspiration and hope to readers, a welcome change from all the cynical, self-absorbed publications out there nowadays. "Reader's Digest" is probably better suited for those of us in the "Baby Boomer" generation, but it's good to know there is still a magazine around that we can identify with.
