REal ghosts, Restless Spirits, and Haunted Places

I LOVE to read books that are about REAL haunted places. I saw this book at a booth at the Indiana State fair this past summer and it was for a great price so I had to have it. The book is titled "Real Ghosts, Restless Spirits, and Haunted Places" written by Brad Steiger. This is a compliation of real haunted places that Brad Steiger has researched, been to or heard about from others that he knows. This book covers all sorts of areas of the paranormal from orbs to mists to Poltergiest to UFOs. It is 568 pages long and includes an appendix with more haunted places you can visit across the USA.

Some of the stories in this book are of famous hauntings such as the house in Amiteville, NY and many historic and famous hotels in California. There is even a chapter on famous people who have lived in haunted places. Some of the stories will send chills up and down your spin while others are sweet and caring such as the chapter that talks of loved ones coming to visit from the grave to give a loving message. There is even a chapter on the spirits of animals that come back to visit their former owners.

One thing I have to say about the book that I didn't like so well was that the photographs tended to have nothing to do with the story you were reading at the time. Usually the Photograph on the page you were ready was not even connected to the story you were reading. There are some very cool photographs of spirits caught on film or orbs caught on film but I would have liked it better if the author would have told the story of the photograph or showed a photograph of the story that he was telling.
