Recipe Book For Easy Teacher Gifts By crazy4disney on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This wonderful recipe book has about twenty different recipes for gifts in a jar. My wife has used it several times over the years for teacher and daycare worker gifts. Often, there are left over ingredients and when there are she makes extra jars for my daughter or us...we all love it when this occurs! There is a variety of recipes including numerous different cookies, several brownies, funnel cakes, and even an non editable treat (playdough).

The recipes are made to fit into a quart size caning jar. Following each card that tells the directions on how to layer the dry ingredients are two pages of recipe cards that tells what to add to the jar to make the treat and the directions for doing so. My wife has our son to copy the recipe cards onto a recipe card she picks up at the dollar tree. This adds a personal touch (plus allows us to use the same recipes over and over again). He also helps to measure and pour in the dry ingredients so it truely is a gift from him.

We've found the teachers generally appreciate this unique gift and often use it fairly quickly.

I just finished making a bread in the jar. Very easy to do and everything was right there.
