Recognizable Patterns of Human Deformation
By halcamdad onThis is a great addition to the library of any healthcare provider that takes care of children or pregnant women. The more popular, "Smith's Recognizable Patterns of Human Malformation" is owned and/or used by many who work in pediatrics. This book (malformation) is extremely useful especially in the nursery (normal newborn all the way up to NICU). Variations of clubfoot deformities are covered. Deformations of the skull are covered extensively (brachycephaly, dolichocephaly, plagiocephaly - both prenatal and postnatal causes thereof). Many deformation sequences of the limbs are covered as well. It's a concise, easy to read text that is comprehensive enough for providers that provide health screening and well-baby/well-child care, yet not too lengthy or verbose. I have found it extremely useful on several occasions. This is a must have for pediatrics physicians.
