I have some box turtles in the backyard and also am taking care of a baby turtle that I recently rescued.I feed them and like to try something new to give them variety in their diet.I found some Zoo Med products at Petsmart and decided to try them. One of these products is called Red Banana Tropical Fruit Mix-Ins.This food comes in a flip top can and is of a paste consistency. It is meant to be mixed in with other foods, such as pellets.

Red Banana is good for geckos, iguanas, turtles and hermit crabs. One small can holds 4 ounces of food.Once the can is opened, it must be kept refrigerated.

I must say that my turtles chow down this food in record time. They all seem to love it, even the little baby.I am really glad that I found this food, because it seems to satisfy the turtles, and I know that I'm giving them something that is good for them to eat.

One can lasts me about three weeks, but I am feeding a number of turtles.Red Banana Tropical Fruit contains red bananas, water, vegetable oil, guar gum and potassium chloride. This food can be fed to turtles about three to four times a week and is not meant to be a mainstay but an additional treat for them to receive combined with other foods.

Zoo Med also makes Papaya Fruit Mix-Ins, and the turtles seem to like that as well.I have no complaints about this food and would recommend it to anyone who has pet turtles or reptiles to feed.
