Red Hot Chili Peppers Mother's Milk By AquaXV on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I am a pretty huge fan of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I know all about their history and how they started out. In particular, I am a big fan of their classic days. By classic, I mean their work before Californication. The Chili Peppers' 80s stuff was a hard, jamming mixture of funk, metal, and rap. The Chili Peppers jelled those genres out so beautifully, and it's especially apparent in this classic album. This was John Frusciante's first appearance in the line-up, as the tragic death of Hillel Slovak had left them without their original guitar player. Almost every song on here is 5-star material. As with many artists in the history of recorded music, filler is a constant necessity. However, this is not apparent here because every song is either superb to great (with the exception of "Magic Johnson", in my opinion) Check this out, it's probably the Chili Peppers' best work. :)
