Redbox Video Rental By MaryMonte on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

Red Box video rentals. You can find these outside many grocery stores. You set up an account linked to an email address and credit or debit card. You choose any new DVD you are interested in and the machine dispenses it. All for only $1.00 a day. If you keep the movie for longer than 25 days then you own it. When you set up account, you give them access to debit the account you add, they take out the dollar a day, after the 25 days and 25 dollars you own it and they no longer charge you. If you like movies and are good about returning when you are finished then this is for you. You can rent a new release for a dollar or two. It has a lot of flexability in its rental process. Whe you are finished with the movie you can return it to ANY RedBox location. You are not tied to the location from which you got movie. Very convenient! It is easy too. You just let machine know who you are through your email address and then you simply put movie into slot. They contact you via email to let you know your charges, when you rent and when you return.

Just be careful. While the $1 videos are great for your entertainment budget, they can wreck havoc on your food shopping budget. How? The video machines act as a way to get you to make repeat trips to the supermarket where 30% to 40% of all your purchases are impulse purchases.
