Reebok Speedpak Dumbbell By momreviewer on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
This weight is adjustable from 2.5 lbs. to 25lbs. You can use the adjustable lever to change the weight plates on both sides of this dumbbell. I thought it was worth the extra money so I didn't have lots of different weights of dumbells around. At the start it was very easy to move the lever to adjust the weight. Over time it has become a work out in itself to change the weight. I have to keep spray WD 40 on the lever to make it easier. It is just a metal handle so it's not very comfortable to hold either. I would never ever spend sixty dollars on one dumbbell again. For that price I think it should be a lot more user friendly. The sixty dollars is just for one weight, too. You have to spend twice that to get a set. This is not a good dumbell.
Reebok Speedpak 25lb. Adjustable Purchased at: Target Price: 60.00

The concept of this was a good idea but sounds like they need some tweaks to make it worth the money you spent. You shouldn't have to spray it with WD40 everytime you use it. I'd write to the manufacturer and tell them how disappointed you are. You never know...you might just get a new one!
$60.00 for one weight and then you have to spray it with WD 40 to get it to work too? I think I will pass on this one, thanks for the info.
Thanks for honest information. It is always troublesome when exercise equipment doesn't work right. It is discouraging.
To pay that much for one dumbell is atrocious. To have to use WD-40 is insane. I like most of the Reebok line in weights, but this one really falls short of their usual excellence.
Thanks for the warning on this one. I know now to avoid it!
Goodness-how crazy is that?! You're right though-you're getting your own workout from having to use WD-40 on it often!
