I colour my hair on a regular basis but find it can be damaging to my hair to do a full head hair dye every 6 weeks not to mention it is expensive. I have seen the commercials for Nice N Easy Root Touch-up on tv and thought I would give it a try. With the root touch-up, you get to choose the areas you want to cover, whether it be root growth or gray hairs. I applied it to the sides and top of my hair. The touch-up kit comes in a variety of shades to match any brand of hair colour that you use. The kit comes with hair dye lotion and colour gel which you mix together in a tray. There is also a little comb which you dip into the colour mixture then comb through the areas that you want to cover. This works really well and the mixture does not have a strong smell that some hair dyes have. You then apply it to dry hair. After you have applied the dye, you can set your timer for 10 minutes, or if you have gray hair, you can leave it on for 15 minutes then rinse it out. You can then dry and style your hair as usual. The touch-up will add body and shine and will immediately revive your hair. The colour is supposed to last for up to 3 weeks but this is dependent on how often you wash your hair and what type of shampoo you use. This is a quick fix if you have an important event and want your hair to look great.
