Reviewing: Imprimatur Archbishop Philip Hannan Non Fiction Book
Purchased at: Olg Religious Store     Price: $14.95 USD

This book was written by Joan Carroll Cruz and contains 302 pages. It was copyrighted in 1984 and was given the Imprimatur by Archbishop Philip M. Hannan. An imprimatur is the official declaration that a book is free of doctrinal or moral error. There are several stunning photographs contained in this book. There are also many stories regarding Relics that are too numerous to discuss individually. However, I will mention just a few such as the Relics of Jesus Christ, the Relics of his Passion, Relics of the Blessed Mother, Miraculous Pictures and Statues of the mother of our Lord and Relics of Blood, Crosses and Crucifixes. The adoration and veneration of Relics is practised by christians and non-christians. Relics are certainly not restricted to the Catholic religion. I found this book goes into great detail explaining the historyof Relics and authenticity of Relics.I learned so much more than I already knew. I did know that Relics are a true blessing and some people go to great lengths to receive a Relic. I, myself, have a First Class Relic of Saint Bernadette. I will treasure it always because it is so rare to be in possession of a First Class Relic.. This particular one that I have contains a very tiny fragment of the saint's bone encased in a small circular container that can be held in your hand. It came from Rome and was flown to America in the care of a priest. A few days later it was in my home. It took two years for me to be granted this rare Relic. There was lots of paper work involved as well.
