Relief Of Mouth Gum Pain By allie63078 on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

Recently when I was eating supper, I bit into a very crusty piece of bread that severly irritated my gums & ridges in my upper mouth. After the swelling went down, I was left with a very sore upper pallate and it made eating for several days almost unbearable.

I was going to buy some regular baby oragel, but while I was browsing the store, I came across these medicated mouth sore swabs and I thought that it looked pretty neat and un-messy and since it was the same price as the other stuff, I decided to give it a shot.

Use of the swabs is easy. You hold the plain white end down and then break off the striped end. You wait for a few seconds for the medicine to drain down into the white end, then you swab your mouth and gums with the medicine.

Relief is actually pretty quick. It numbed my gums and made the pain pretty much go away. That was the good part. The bad part is that the relief is fairly short lived and applying the get with the swab on already-sore-gums was painful to say the least. If I could do it again, I would probably have just bought the gel and dealt with a little more mess.
